Short Bio

Lori A. Dalton received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, in 2001 and 2002, respectively. She received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University in May 2012. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.

Dr. Dalton was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship in 2001 and she was sole recipient of the nationally competitive AFCEA Fellowship in 2003. She received an Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Masters Research Award in 2003 and a P.E.O. Scholar Award, granting fellowships for women in the US and Canada, in 2010. She was also awarded Second Place Top Oral Presentation by Students at MCBIOS 2011.

Her current research interests include pattern recognition, estimation, optimization, genomic signal processing, systems biology, bioinformatics, robust filtering and information theory.
