Research Interests
Analog and Digital VLSI for Signal
Processing:
We are presently conducting research in the area of
advanced circuits for signal processing and communication
systems. This research combines analog and digital VLSI circuits
to form conveniently programmable hardware for system level
solutions. At present, the specific hardware involves signal
conditioning, A/D and D/A data converters, microcontrollers, and
output drivers to produce a system on a chip. This research has
been supported by Texas Instruments.
Receiver Communication Circuits & Systems:
We are presently conducting research in the area of
advanced circuits for embedded and communication systems.
This research combines analog and digital VLSI circuits to form
programmable hardware for communication and
computational systems. At present, specific hardware involves the
development of programmable A/D & D/A coder circuits for system on a chip processing. A design flow is used that emphasises the co-development
of hardware and software in embedded systems, where there is a significant analog component
in the hardware.
