Abstract:
This paper presents a method to establish a multi-stage transformer model for study of high frequency transient behavior of transformers. The paremeters of the transformer model are estimated using the combination of nonlinear least square estimation and maximum likelihood identification techniques. In order to verify the proposed estimation method, a two-winding transformer is studied using single stage and three stage transformer models. The parameters of the models are estimated.
